Aston Villa face losing several major players after missing Premier League promotion.
The Mirror says Villa have concerns over meeting Financial Fair Play but more worrying are the on-going commitments.
Several players, including the likes of Australia international Mile Jedinak and striker Scott Hogan are being paid £2m-a-year.
Others such as Ross McCormack and Micah Richards are pocketing significant sums and have not even played for the club this season.
And that wage bill is proving prohibitive for owner Dr Tony Xia with losses running into tens of millions of pounds.
Talented youngster Jack Grealish is the most likely to be sacrificed as he will command a fee likely to be in excess of £20m.
Defender James Chester along with strikers Jonathan Kodjia and Albert Adomah are the most likely to be off-loaded as Villa seek to make good those losses.
