Wolves striker Benik Afobe is a target for Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood.

The Sunday Express says Afobe, 22, who joined Wolves from Arsenal for £2million in January was the joint leading scorer in the country last season with 32 goals.

Sherwood who lost Christian Benteke to Liverpool still wants to make additions to his squad before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

He is keen on taking Afobe who still has three years left to run on the contract that he signed when leaving The Gunners at the turn of the year.
