Aston Villa has scraped through to the round of 32 in the Uefa Cup despite losing 2-1 at home to Slovakian club MSK Zilina.
The visitors skipped away to a two-goal advantage before the 20-minute mark thanks to goals from Vladimir Leitner and Peter Styvar and in an exciting first half; Nathan Delfouneso got one back for Villa on his debut.
That, however, was the end of the scoring for the match despite Villa having several close calls.
After opening their account with two wins from their first two matches, the loss does not affect the progress of the English club who are away to Hamburg SV on Wednesday December 17 I their next European encounter.
