Aston Villa have thanked veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel for three years of service.
The 40-year old American gloveman has departed the club to take up a contract with Tottenham and Villa chief executive Paul Faulkner wished him well for the future.
"I would like to thank Brad for the terrific contribution he has made at Aston Villa in his last three seasons here and our supporters will no doubt echo these sentiments," he said.
"We wish him well in the future and look forward to seeing him again at Villa Park."
