Rickie Lambert has turned down a potential move to Aston Villa in order to stay with Liverpool.
The 32-year old striker, who joined the Reds from Southampton in the summer, was being heavily linked with a deadline day shift to Villa Park but recent reports suggest he is going nowhere.
Villa were believed to be very keen to bring Lambert to the West Midlands for around £5million but the England international is set to remain with the club he supported as a youngster.
