Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor insists he doesn't need a rest.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill believes the England Under-21 player would benefit from a spell out of the firing line.

But Agbonlahor said: "Of course, it will help the boys to be able to rest their legs during the week after a lot of midweek matches recently.

"We can be fresh for Saturday against Arsenal. People say I haven't had a rest but I don't mind. You want to be playing. You don't want to be sitting on the bench.

"I am happy with carrying on playing. I don't feel tired or jaded. I am fine. I am a fit young man."
