Aston Villa still 'alive and kicking' - Sherwood

Tim Sherwood is of the belief that Aston Villa still have some life left in their otherwise limp season.

Villa produced a last-gasp 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in the West Midlands derby on Tuesday night and new boss Sherwood feels it has breathed some life into their flailing campaign.

"I was saying we're alive. There were people who wrote us off but we're alive and kicking. People will look at that result but the performance was great," he said.

"We need to bottle it up and experience it a few more times."

The win saw Villa edge out of the drop zone and into 17th positon where they sit three points clear of QPR, who have two games in hand, and Burnley who take on the in-form Liverpool on Wednesday night.
