Aston Villa signing Pierluigi Gollini has spoken of his last days at Manchester United.
The 21-year-old has signed for Aston Villa from Italian side Hellas Verona and opened up on his United nightmare.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "They came to me and offered me a new contract but there was nobody there who could tell me what they thought about me.
“There was Giggsy who was doing a bit and the goalkeeper coach Chris Woods was a great person to me to be honest, but obviously he had other things to deal with.
“They gave me an offer but I didn't really like it because they had no coach or manager and I didn't know what they wanted to do with me.
“I thought a move back to Italy would help me.
“It's different over there, when you are young and you go from the youth team into the first-team they always look at you like a kid.
“For me, coming from Man United, everybody had a different vision of me. I looked like a player!
“The experience was big for me. I had a very tough time at Man United.
“I went there with no friends or family and I didn't speak English at first.
“I was alone. But it made me stronger and a better person."
