Aston Villa have signed Aly Cissokho from Spanish club Valencia.
The 26-year old French left-back has signed a four-year deal with the West Midlands outfit for an undisclosed fee after spending last season on loan with Liverpool.
Cissokho had two years remaining on his contract at Valencia and it is believed that Villa paid between £2-3million for his services.
The once-capped France international joined Los Che from Lyon in August 2012 but played just one season for the Spaniards before landing at Anfield on a season-long loan last summer.
Cissokho joins Joe Cole, Philippe Senderos and Kieran Richardson as Paul Lambert's signings so far in this transfer window.
