Aston Villa's Sherwood: Harry Kane is a little bit of Shearer, a little bit of Sheringham

England's newest star striker Harry Kane has a bright future ahead if he can follow in the footsteps of two former goal aces.

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood, who managed the 21-year old at Tottenham, suggests Kane has all the attributes to become a bona fide star of the game and feels that if he can take the skills of ex-Three Lions regulars Alan Shearer and Teddy Sheringham then he will play at the top for a very long time.

"He's a little bit different to (Alan) Shearer, there's a little bit of Teddy Sheringham in there," said Sherwood.

"If he can mould them together a little cocktail of Shearer and Sheringham he ain't done bad."
