Robert Pires has confirmed he has received an offer from a club in Australia.
The 37-year old French midfielder, currently on a six-month deal with Aston Villa, told FIFA.com that he is in the process of working out his future which may even be retirement as early as May.
But the former Arsenal star revealed that there is interest from around the world with Australia a definite possibility.
"I'm prepared to retire in May if that's what it comes to, but I am also ready to go wherever an interesting proposition comes from," Pires said.
"Be it Qatar or the US. I've even had an offer from Australia.
"I'm still playing in the Premier League so I get noticed. People haven't forgotten about me. Anyway, one thing at a time. I'll look at that at the end of the season."
Pires has enjoyed a stellar career in Europe which has included two Premier League titles with the Gunners, three FA Cup and the 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championships with France.
