Aston Villa's Okore open to winter move

Jores Okore is determined to gain more playing time at Aston Villa but has not ruled out a possible winter exit.

The 22-year old Ivory Coast-born Denmark defender has seen injury restrict him to just three Premier League appearances since his arrival at Villa Park in June 2013.

Okore has been frustrated with his start to life in the West Midlands and although he would like to repay the faith shown by Villa during his bad injury run, he would be open to a move away in January if that was to enhance his playing chances.

"I came to Villa to play and I am going to fight to make that happen," he told Danish station TV2.

"At the same time I need to play, so I don't want to exclude anything when it comes to the coming transfer window."

Okore joined Villa from FC Nordsjaelland for £4million but has not featured since rupturing cruciate ligaments in just his fourth overall outing in September last year.
