Aston Villa defender Shane Lowry is set for a loan extension at League One club Leeds United.

The 20-year old Australian joined the Whites in late January with his spell going until mid-March but the promotion-chasing club are keen to have him back for the remainder of the season.

Despite having injury setbacks during his first stint at Elland Road, Lowry has been called back by Simon Grayson to cover for his compatriot Patrick Kisnorbo, who seriously damaged an Achilles tendon earlier this week.
