Aston Villa haven't dropped their pursuit of Lille defender Adil Rami.

Lille are prepared to sell the France international in January, with Villa and Valencia going head-to-head for his services.

The French club are seeking €6 million and despite claims of an agreement with Valencia, no concrete offer has yet been received.
