Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is keen to trump Sunderland for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.
The 29-year-old has been in electric form for the Championship strugglers, netting 11 league goals.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has decided to recall Grabban before selling him, reports The Sun.
A move back to the Championship could be on the cards for Grabban, however, with Villa keen.
A new striker is high on the January agenda for Bruce, with star man Jonathan Kodjia currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
