Paul Lambert admits the progress and development being made by his Aston Villa squad excites him immensely.
The Villains managed to come from behind to record a 2-2 draw with West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion on Monday night and the display, particularly in the second half, was something that pleased the boss.
Lambert sees Villa sitting 12th on the Premier League table and he is happy with how things are coming along at Villa Park.
"We've just got to keep growing the football club. We've only been here 15, 16 months and we had to strip it right back as everybody knows," he told Sky Sports.
"People were criticising us for doing certain things, but we have strong beliefs and stuck with it, and hopefully now people are starting to see we've got a really good side.
"They've got great energy, but they'll grow and, if we can keep them for a few years longer, and keep the club growing, then we'll do alright."
