Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is ready to move for Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia.
The Daily Mail says McLeish is putting Stewart Downing up for sale and plans to use the funds raised to land N'Zogbia.
The France international has also been linked with Liverpool and Sunderland.
N'Zogbia is mooted to be seeking £60,000-a-week to quit the DW.
