Aston Villa and Newcastle United remain in the hunt for Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan.
France Football says Aston Villa and Newcastle are interested in Rolan.
Last week Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud said: “There has been contact with Newcastle through intermediaries, so there is interest from them. At this stage, we are yet to hear from Aston Villa."
Rolan is tied to Bordeaux until 2017.
