Aston Villa are standing by their £8 million price for Darren Bent.

Both Newcastle United and Fulham are thought to be interested in signing the 29-year-old but have baulked at the £8m price-tag, says the Daily Star.

Sources close to the former England international have revealed Bent is currently training away from the Villa first-team and is worried he will have trouble securing a move because of the big numbers involved in the transfer.
