The former MLS player being linked with Aston Villa is reportedly Tottenham's Simon Dawkins.
The 25-year old attacking midfielder has spent the past two seasons on loan with San Jose Earthquakes but could now head to Villa Park.
It is believed the loan agreement will see Dawkins spend the rest of the season with Villa.
