Southampton face losing striker Charlie Austin this summer.

The Mirror says Bournemouth, Leicester and Championship promotion-chasers Aston Villa are among the clubs keeping tabs on the situation.

Saints are third-bottom with seven games left having won just once in the league since November and will struggle to hold onto Austin – who is still their top scorer this season, despite missing three months from December with a hamstring injury – if they are relegated.

Austin is in second season at Saints after joining from QPR.
