Aston Villa are interested in Palermo midfielder Armin Bacinovic.

Bacinovic is considering his future in Sicily after falling out of the first team following the appointment of new coach Devis Mangia this season.

Alex McLeish is keen to strengthen his squad following the summer departures of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young.

But he will have to act fast if he wants to bring Bacinovic to Villa Park as his agent Amir Ruznic revealed that Napoli are emerging as the strong favourites to clinch his signature.

Ruznic said: "I have to speak with the club, but I know that Napoli are making a move and relations between the two clubs is very good."
