Aston Villa have joined the battle for West Brom's on-loan Nancy striker Marc Antoine-Fortune.

The striker's brace for West Brom in Saturday's 3-1 win over Wigan was seen by 14 scouts.

Fortune, 27, joined the Baggies on loan from Nancy in January and is also a target for Sunderland, Bolton and Wolves.

Manager Tony Mowbray hopes to sign Fortune, even if West Brom are relegated.

He said: "This could be the club where he can grow and develop."
