Tottenham outcast Emmanuel Adebayor is currently in negotiations to rejoin former boss Tim Sherwood at Aston Villa.


The two previously worked together whilst Sherwood was caretaker manager at Spurs in 2014 and as Villa look set to lose Christian Benteke, Sherwood is hoping to bring in a striker he knows and trusts.

Benteke is almost certain to seal his move to Liverpool in a deal worth £32.5million and Sherwood is said to be desperate to bring in a replacement to fill the void the Belgian will leave.

With Spurs looking to offload Adebayor, a deal looks inevitable but the Togo international's wages of £100,000 a week are proving to be a stumbling block.
