Aston Villa already have a short list of candidates should they decide to cut loose manager Gerard Houllier.
The Sun says Villa owner Randy Lerner will decide this week if Houllier is fit to carry on as chief after the Frenchman's heart scare.
Everton boss David Moyes, Fulham's Mark Hughes and Quique Sanchez Flores are in line to step in if Houllier goes.
Sanchez Flores is available after leaving Atletico Madrid.
