Aston Villa have joined the battle for FC Copenhagen fullback Ludwig Augustinsson.

The Sweden U21 international has been linked with Liverpool, with his agent admitting their interest this week.

However, Expressen says Villa have come forward and are preparing a bid for Augustinsson.

For their part, FCK are willing to listen to offers for the youngster, though coach Stale Solbakken feels he should stay for another season.

"It would be attractive to try something new, but I'm very happy at FCK," Augustinsson says.
