Aston Villa fans are planning protests against manager Alex McLeish.

They believe last weekend's defeat at Newcastle was a 'debacle' and high-profile players Stephen Ireland and Charles N'Zogbia are now in revolt.

Ireland was involved in a bust-up with McLeish before being subbed at half-time and N'Zogbia later tweeted he was unhappy.

Supporters were furious McLeish was given the Villa job last summer after leaving rivals Birmingham.

A statement on the Vital Villa fans' website read: "We need to act now before it is too late and the unthinkable happens. If you support this, join us at 3pm on Sunday."
