Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier remains keen on Le Havre prospect Gueida Fofana.
Fofana visited Villa Park earlier this season, though Houllier 'parked' any potential move until the summer.
The France U20 star is expected to leave Le Havre at the end of this season and Villa face competition from Jean Tigana's Bordeaux for the youngster.
Fofana is understood to favour working with Houllier at Villa if he is to leave Le Havre.
