Aston Villa are reportedly sounding out Swansea manager Garry Monk as a potential replacement for Tim Sherwood.
Sherwood's job security has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, following Villa's horrendous start to the Premier League season.
The Telegraph is reporting Monk is on a shortlist of potential replacements for Sherwood, which also includes former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes.
It is understood Villa will have to pay Swansea £3million in compensation if they hope to lure Monk to Villa Park.
Ironically, Swansea face Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday and a result in Monk's favour could seal Sherwood's fate.
