Chicago Fire midfielder Freddie Ljungberg is being linked with a return to England.

The former Arsenal and West Ham United midfielder moved to Chicago last season from Seattle Sounders.

Now it's been reported that Villa boss Gerard Houllier is interested in taking Ljungberg on-loan for the second-half of the Premier League season to boost his experience in midfield.

Houllier has already signed Ljungberg's former Arsenal teammate Robert Pires in the last 24 hours.
