Aston Villa are tracking Blackpool goalkeeper Matt Gilks.
Villa boss Alex McLeish needs to find cover for No1 Shay Given with Brad Guzan to leave in the summer when he comes off contract.
Scotland international Gilks, who did so well in the Premier League last season, is on Eck's shortlist.
