Aston Villa expecting big things from Spanish prospect Juan Serrano

Aston Villa management are expecting big things from Spanish prospect Juan Serrano.

Serrano, who joined from Espanyol earlier this season, marked his first appearance for the reserves last week with a goal in the 2-1 defeat to Everton.

Youth team coach Tony McAndrew has been thrilled with the attitude shown by Juan Serrano, as well as his terrific technical ability.

"Juan is a talent," McAndrew told AVTV. "He has got a lovely first touch, lovely technique and he is learning how we play the game in this country.

"On Saturday against Norwich I thought he was excellent. I thought he played really well and he looked as though he had come to terms with how we want to try and play.

"I am delighted with his progress. He is a lovely lad. His attitude is fantastic and he has got some really lovely skills."
