Aston Villa are determined to land Juventus midfielder Momo Sissoko.
But the Italian giants are expected to set their asking price at £6million, which might well rule Villa out.
Sissoko said: "The directors wanted to sell me at the beginning of the year and sometimes they try to enter into agreements that I do not like.
"When competition is healthy, I do not have problems. But it is no longer the case."
Aston Villa recently sold Steve Sidwell to Fulham, and will be on the look-out for midfield reinforcements.
