Aston Villa No2 Ray Wilkins admits they're keen on Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Adebayor is being lined up to replace Liverpool signing Christian Benteke.

Asked if there is a chance of landing the Togo international, Wilkins told talkSPORT: "I think there is.

"I can only talk for myself, but I'm hoping there is because when Adebayor wants to play, he is extremely effective.

"He knows the Premier League inside out, so he would be a good addition for us."
