Aston Villa closing in on Wigan striker Rodallega

Aston Villa are tracking Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega.

The Daily Mail says Villa’s chief scout Ian Storey-Moore will check on the Colombian but they face competition from Birmingham and Stoke.

Sunderland and Liverpool are also interested in the 24-year-old, who has scored eight times in the Barclays Premier League this season - including the winner against Liverpool.

Wigan rate Rodallega in the £15 million class.
