Aston Villa are closing in on Ipswich Town fullback Aaron Cresswell.

The Mirror says Villa want to move Stephen Warnock on to make room for Ipswich's Aaron Cresswell and a loan spell at Ewood is now on the cards.

Warnock is poised to rejoin former club Blackburn Rovers on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
