Aston Villa are chasing Panathinaikos forward Djibril Cisse.

The France international played for Villa boss Gerard Houllier at Liverpool and France Football says a reunion could be on in January.

A return to England will be in the offing for Cisse should Panathiniakos be dumped out of the Champions League.

Houllier is keen to boost his attacking options in the winter market and Cisse fits the bill.
