The race for Greenock Morton whizkid Jai Quitongo is intensifying.
The Croydon Advertiser says Quitongo has been attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, with West Ham United, Swansea City, Palace, Hull City and Southampton all linked with a move for the teenager in recent weeks.
Championship sides Wigan Athletic and Preston North End have also been linked with the 19-year-old, who was the subject of a rejected £100,000 bid in the summer from League One side Doncaster Rovers.
But now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Aston Villa sent scouts to watch Quitongo at the weekend, while it is understood that they will also watch him play for Scotland's U21 side next week against Slovenia.
