Aston Villa captain Terry agonising over retirement call due to Chelsea reunion

Aston Villa captain John Terry is facing a crunch decision over playing on next season.

The Daily Express says Terry could wave goodbye to Villa even if he leads the club back into the Premier League.

He was 37 in December but has been a pivotal figure in the promotion campaign, making 29 appearances this season.

Terry must consider whether he still has enough in the tank for another year at the top and there is also the matter of whether he would want to come up against his beloved Chelsea.

He turned down overtures from Swansea last summer when his time at Chelsea came to an end as he did not want to play against them for another club.

Terry has told Villa manager Steve Bruce that he will make his mind up in May.
