The appointment of Tim Sherwood as manager of Aston Villa has inspired a revival and the Villans' stunning 4-0 victory over Sunderland over the weekend provides a testament to this fact.
Understandably, the feel-good factor has returned at Villa following doom and gloom surrounding the club under former manager Paul Lambert, and the fans now firmly believe that their side can stave off relegation.
However, it is not a coincidence that Villa have been able to enjoy such a fine upturn in fortunes and Sherwood has gone on to reveal that the secret behind his side's good run of form is due to their increased level of intensity in training.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Sherwood said: "I don't believe we should train any differently to how we play. Every day we train flat out. I want them to train with that intensity.
"We've lost a few to injury along the way by doing that though. We've only got three fit defenders. We are thin on the ground defensively but the boys who have come in have done brilliantly."
