Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood sees Scott Sinclair as a central attacker.
Sinclair has scored eight times for the Midlands outfit in only 16 appearances, ten of which have been starts.
Sherwood says: “Scott's best asset is scoring goals – and any player would like that to be their best asset. To stick him out on the left, he's going to get limited chances to score – I think it's a waste. I'm not saying he can't play there but he needs to find the opportunities to burst through the middle and into scoring positions as often as he can.
“He can do that 30 times a game and I'm not sure centre-halves want to be doing that all game – and I'm not sure many are capable. He really is the fittest boy we've seen for a long time.
“And when he gets in front of goal he has calmness with both feet."
