Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is convinced by the quality of his summer signings.
Idrissa Gueye (£9million from Lille), Jordan Amavi (£10m from Nice), Jose Angel Crespo (£500,000 from Cordoba), Jordan Ayew (£8.5m rising to £10 m), Rudy Gestede (£6m from Blackburn) and Jordan Veretout (£7m rising to £10m from Nantes) have joined for a combined total of about £45.5m.
"They are all a good fit for the club," he said. "Ligue 1 is a market where I think the football resembles the Premier League so the transition should be easier for the guys.
"We're going to try to make that transition as soon as possible. They're players willing to learn and they appreciate that it's a step up. It's my job to get them to gel. We will do morning and afternoon sessions and play plenty of 11-a-sides to make sure they get used to it straight away."
