Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill may have to ship out several big names to carry on buying this summer.

The Daily Mail says O'Neill is keen to keep strengthening his side with young talent but, with question marks over his transfer budget, he has admitted certain players may have to be sacrificed for the long-term benefit of the club.

That leaves question marks over John Carew, Emile Heskey and Ashley Young who are all attracting interest from other clubs.

O'Neill would prefer to keep his squad intact but needs funds to bring in the players he wants in midfield and defence.
