Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish hopes to sign at least one new fullback this week.
The Mirror says McLeish plans to put the cash raised from Stewart Downing's sale to Liverpool to good use.
McLeish is giving left-back Stephen Warnock a fresh chance after he was exiled under predecessor Gerard Houllier.
But McLeish does fancy a new right-back and wants Tottenham full-back Alan Hutton.
Fiorentina's Peru wing-back Juan Manuel Vargas is also a target.
