Aston Villa have been told to forget about Manchester City pair Adam Johnson and James Milner.

The Sun says Aston Villa boss Big Eck asked about the pair during talks over keeper Shay Given's move from the Etihad last month.

Midfielder Milner, 25, left Villa only a year ago in a £24million deal while winger Johnson, 24, cost £6m from Middlesbrough in February 2010.

But City boss Roberto Mancini insists neither player will be leaving.
