Aston Villa ask Tottenham to name their price for Jenas

Aston Villa want to buy Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas.

The Sun says Villa have asked Tottenham to name their price for England international Jenas.

Big-spending Villa chief Gerard Houllier landed Sunderland striker Darren Bent for a club-record £24million last week.

And he now wants England midfielder Jenas, 27, who cost Tottenham £7m from Newcastle 5½ years ago.

Jenas is contracted to Spurs until 2013 and boss Harry Redknapp is in no rush to sell a player who, now he is fit again, has re-established himself as a significant part of the Spurs set-up.
