Asian Champions League Round of 16 – Suwon Bluewings dump Beijing Guoan out
The first four matches of the Asian Champions League Round of 16 were played last night with all four home teams winning.
In the East, Korea club Suwon Bluewings ended China’s Beijing Guoan’s run in the competition with a 2-0 win whilst fellow K-League outfit Seongnam Ilhwa scored three goals in the final 16 minutes to beat Japan’s Gamba Osaka 3-0.
In the West, Qatar’s Al-Gharafa needed a late penalty to get past Uzbek club Pakhtakor as Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Shabab came from behind after leading early to produce a 3-2 result over Esteghlal of Iran.
