The first half of Match Day 6 of the Asian Champions League was completed last night with eight teams progressing through to the Round of 16.
In Group C, Saudi Arabia's Al Shabab finished on top with a 2-1 win over Pakhtakor, who despite the loss, grabbed second place, edging out Sepahan by a point.
Group D saw Al Hilal retain top spot despite a 3-1 loss to Mes Kerman who managed to leapfrog Qatar's Al Sadd and move through to the next phase.
Groups G & H were already set but the positions of the top two could have changed. In G, Suwon Bluewings powered into first place with a 6-2 demolition of Singapore Armed Forces as Gamba Osaka relinquished their stranglehold on the group, drawing 1-1 with Henan Jianye to fall to second.
And in Group H, despite losing 1-0 at home to Shandong Luneng, Adelaide United remained on top because of goal difference as second-placed Pohang Steelers were beaten 4-3 by Sanfrecce Hiroshima in a dramatic night in Japan.
