Dan Ashworth is ready to leave West Bromwich Albion.
The Daily Mail says Ashworth, West Bromwich Albion's highly rated director of football, has informed the club he wants to leave to become technical director at the FA, reuniting him with former Hawthorns colleague Roy Hodgson.
But Albion, having lost Hodgson to the national team at the end of last season, are intending to hold Ashworth to his contract, which runs until next July, before he takes up a wide-ranging job that Gareth Southgate unexpectedly turned down.
