Former West Ham United striker Dean Ashton has urged Andy Carroll not to worry about the critics.

Carroll is struggling to get back from his heel injury.

But Ashton told the London Evening Standard: "Andy has to be patient and not worry about what anyone is saying. It is about concentrating on making sure the injury is right."
